New Toy
Here's my new toy. I've managed to go the last 5 years with a Black & White Palm V that did all that I needed it to do. That was until last week when I ordered Zagats for the Palm and didn't notice it needs a whopping 8MB to run (up from 500KB in 2000) yet my Palm only has 2MB total! But before I could send it back my girlfriend (who I'd already told about the problem) decided it was her birthday and opened up the box to see what Zagats on a CD-ROM looks like. Breaking the seal prevents me from sending it back and so started my journey for a PDA that would run Zagats! I looked at Palm handhelds but they just didn't do it for me. Then I saw the Sony Clie line and it just was a matter of which one I wanted. The Clie seemed to do everything I wanted (run Zagats!) and much, much more. I mean these things have WI-FI build in for accessing the net! A camera for taking photo's or live video! It can play MP3's and movies, record audio, display Adobe PDF's and MS Word and Excel docs, all in high-resolution 320 x 480 color. But more important than all these features, even the built-in voice recognition and GPS, is that the 32MB of memory is enough to run Zagats! I even think it has a datebook and calender built in. Take it for a spin and see what I mean. |
